StrandOrt Kiel

Kiel. Friedrichsort. An area steeped in history is being transformed into “StrandOrt Kiel”.
More than 150 years of history in locomotive, armament and engine construction characterize the new future area, as well as a sea fortress from the 17th century and the adjacent Falckensteiner Strand.
In the middle of it all is the StrandFabrik in a large listed hall with excellent infrastructure.

Hall 6

Hall 6 was built in 1905 and currently has a total area of 6,350 m². From the beginning of construction until the end, heavy steel structures were manufactured in this hall.

The StrandFabrik offers an infrastructure for driving large vehicles. This is made possible by the gates with 5.00 m width and 5.50 m height. Cranes from 300 kg up to 25,000 kg are also available. In addition, the StrandFabrik has compressed air & electricity (230 V~, 400 V~ 16A,32A,64A).
